Mobile Fees – Traveling Fees Apply. Travel fees are not specified by the State of Texas according to any law. Such fees are properly in order only if the notary and signer(s) have verbally or electronically ex. (phone, text or email) agreed beforehand on the amount to be charged. The signer(s) are to be informed and clearly understand that a travel fee is neither required nor specified in the law and is dependent on travel distance the notary is required to drive to reach destination in which notarial acts are to be conducted herein. Travel fees range from $10.00 and up based upon zip code. Said travel fees will always be discussed prior to departure for your requested service.

Additional Mobile Fee Information

Although not specifically mentioning notaries as state officers in the statute, Texas law requires “state officers” to bill clients for all expenses. Therefore, we will always prepare a detailed bill for any services we perform as a notary public. We will discuss our fees with you our signer before performing the notarial acts to avoid confusion or conflict afterward. We will always provide a written receipt for fees charged, completely, separating any non-notary business fees such as travel expenses from the actual notary fees charged.

Due and Payable Upon Receipt

ALL fees are billable and due on completion of services rendered at which time an invoice will be issued. We accept only Cash, Credit Card, Debit, Cashapp and Zelle. Payment arrangements must be made in advance of services, at time of scheduling.

FAQ's

  1. What is Online Notarization?  Online notarization is a notarial act performed by an online notary by means of two-way video and audio conference technology that meets the standards adopted by the Secretary of State for such actions including credential analysis and identity proofing.

  2. What is a notarial certificate?  A notarial certificate is the wording, usually found at the end of a document, that describes the steps a notary has taken in notarizing a document.  A notary may not notarize (i.e., sign and/or affix their seal) a document that does not have a notarial certificate.  Acknowledgments and jurats are examples of notarial certificates.  A notarial certificate for an online notarization must include a statement that the notarial act was an online notarization.  Please refer to the sample forms provided in this material for more information.

  3.  Are electronic records of online notarizations kept that are not charged for?  Yes. Every online notarization must be recorded in the notary’s electronic record and the record must include the information required by Tex. Gov’t Code §406.108, including a recording of any video and audio conference that is the basis for satisfactory evidence of identity and a notation of the type of identification presented as evidence.

  4. What is a Principal?  A Principal is an individual whose signature is notarized in a traditional or online notarization, or an individual who takes an oath or affirmation from a notary.

  5. How much can online notaries charge for their services?  Online notaries may charge up to $25 for each notarization they perform in addition to regular notary charges.  Online notaries are not required to charge for their services, but they are allowed to charge up to $25 plus the regular notary fees authorized by Tex. Gov’t Code §406.024.
